The following is the Emissary Report for June, 2014.

Regional Events:

The 10000 Islands best flag competition, run by Anime Daisuki, has finished. This competition saw members of the 10000 Islands vote for their favourite flag through a preliminary and final round. The results had Ananke and Boltor tying for third place, Thesan in second place and the winner was Ardreas! The 10000 Islands recieved a visit from our allies in Texas. The visit saw a lot of chat on the Regional Message Board, as well as The Taco Island Texan Beach Party Extravaganza on the forum. The beach party saw some drinking, some eating, some drinking, an Ugliest Pet Show, some more drinking, a bit more eating and ended with everyone wearing sombreros. Thanks for visiting Texas! Political Events:

TITO News

TITO Executive Oficer Malecia was awarded the Bronze Star for his outstanding service to TITO. Congratulations Mal!

TITO Day was held on the 23rd of June.

TITO deployments for June included Schakastan, New Empire of Gallifrey, East Pacific, Cascadia. Pirates, Bucketheadland, Christmas and Austria.

Also in June, TITO XO Malecia was awarded the Bronze Star by TITO Field Commander Improving Wordines. the citation read:

'We stand here before the Statue of Jesioneka to award Malecia for outstanding service.
As you all are aware Melecia is our TITO Executive Officer and keeps things running smoothly in the background. In spite of personal hardships Mal has been a continual source of support and been dedicated to the rarely thanked task of keeping our record / battle jackets and TITO roster updated.
Performing a repetitive task from day to day when things are going well can be challenging. Performing those same tasks even when things are not going well is outstanding.

The Featured Nation Program was revived in early June, and over the month Voltzenkrad and The Changeling Horde were both featured. Werewolves 36:'Vault 48', hosted by Shizensky, came to a conclusion with a victory for the communist wolves. Congratulations! Red Croatia has started sign ups for the next game, which will see the villagers face off against a group of cartoon Femme Fatales. Barry has already prepared himself for an evil role, showing us some disturbingly attractive pictures of him in a red dress.

The Resistance 9 was won by the resistance again. Spies Aersoldorf and Ater Nox were no match for the brave Resistance members Pengu, Randomain and Witchcraft and Sorcery. Or maybe that's just what they want you to think, you never can tell in this game...

The Candy Lane ran two games of Two Rooms, One Boom over the month. This game is run by PM so there isn't much to see, but it seems to have been well recieved by its players. The blue team won the first game, and the red team won the second.

Ater Nox opened sign ups for a new game in Taco Island. Everyone is John will see Taco Islanders take turns as being voices in a man named John's head. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

In the lottery, Barry, Witchcraft & Sorcery, Random and Aersoldorf were all lucky enough to win some tacos again. The jackpot which has now risen to 203,360 taco. Link: 10000islands.proboards.com/thread/27100/xki-lottery-back?page=8

The position of Mayor of Shelter's Taco Island has been filled. Congratulations to our new mayor Aersoldorf! Regional Events:

Members of the 10000 Islands have begun to sign up for the Cross Regional Summer Games. The events in the Summer Games are 100m sprint, Steeplechase, Love boat race, Kayak, Rum down the Hill, Diving, Boxing, Gymnastics, Pentathlon and BossaBall.

Political Events:

Elections for the Himes West and Lyonesse East seats occur during July. Previous Senator of Himes West Witchcraft and Sorcery chose not to run, and so the election was between Ayunli and Barry. Meanwhile, The Candy Lane ran against Senator Ardreas for the Lyonesse East seat. The results were 35-17 in favour of Barry and 39-16 in favour of The Candy Lane. Congratulations to the new Senators and commiserations to those who were not successful.

As our previous Senior Senator, Witchcraft and Sorcery, left office, Paffnia was chosen as his replacement.

Grub has introduced a tonne of new features to the forum. We now have a working shop, the ability to add drawings to posts, an updated news headline, a logout confirmation button, a list of recent post and the ability to easily tag recent posters in a thread. With the return of the Shop, the Mortimer Reports have also returned. The first report outlined a mysterious mist that increased the output of farms. The embassy with the United Kingdom has been closed given their recent invader activities.

Smugglers and Mercs has joined the ranks of TITO knights after receiving his 50th battle star.

Magthere passed 150 battle stars, earning the rank of TITO Knight Battalion Commander. He was also awarded the Soldiers Medal.

The Candy Lane, 13 Court Gaurd Squads, Ayunli, and Duckyian Empire were each awarded the TITO Quick Reaction Force pin.

Regional Events:

Nations from the 10000 Islands visited the Skeleton Army to celebrate the birthday of their Queen Ramazakal. Everyone enjoyed the party and we were all grateful to our hosts for the invitation. Link: 10000islands.proboards.com/thread/28376/vist-skeleton-army

Political Events:

Anime Daisuki took up the delegate position for the region while an election was held. In the end, Aersoldorf, Duckyian Empire and Markanite all ran for election, with Markanite winning 66% of the votes and being named Delegate. Congratulations Mark. Grub has introduced even more forum updates. Forum users can now be easily tagged with a set of buttons near the new post text box. WA Forum members are now sporting a new colour. An info banner has been added at the top of the forum for important announcements. Users can also display their House, Generation and Political Party on their profiles thanks to a new dropdown menu. Finally, users can now add moving text, spoilers and highlighted text to their posts.

Grub has used the NationStates Regional polls to find out whether people own Immigration Shares, and whether Twitter is widely used throughout the region.

The first Prolific Posting competition pitted house against house to find out who were the best spammers. January was a very busy month in 10000 Islands Politics. Elections were held for the Senate Seats for New Republica South and Blue Canaria North. Former BCN Senator Malecia stepped down from his post as Minister of Labor to run for the Senate Seat he had held prior to his ministry appointment. Mal won with 24 of 41 votes.
Lower Columbia, in his first run for the Senate, was successful with his run for the NRS Seat and took 29 of 39 votes.

Long time Council Member Cerberion stepped down from his ministry seat. With Mal leaving the ministry for the Senate and Cerb stepping down, Paffnia was appointed as Minister of Labor and The Candy Lane was named Minster of Immigration.

The Council thanks Cerberion for his years of service and devotion and dedication to the Co9.

• Louisistan was named to fill the Lyonesse East Seat until the next election
• USSR/ Hahiha was named as the new Deputy Minister of Immigration
• Flemingisa and The Jensmonian Empire were hired as Recruitment Officers.

Lower Columbia was chosen Rookie of the Quarter, in recognition of an exceptional new nation who joined the forum during October to December of 2014. LC was also the first recipient of a new Taco Island Charities program, Rookie of the Quarter Prize.

Diplomatic relations were established with Australia.

The Third Annual Paffnia Prize, which is voted to the nation that comes up with the best new idea, was awarded to Grub for having added numerous technical forum improvements ranging from adding forum dice to profile drop-down boxes and user-tagging buttons. Grub’s award came by a single vote over Cerb’s work on the Accelerator 2.0 recruiting program and was voted tops among 39 outstanding nominees.

The fifth House Cup and Shield recruiting contest was again dominated by the House of Wordy which won the Cup, Shield, and through the individual efforts of Escanaba, and the Sceptre.

13 Court Guard Squads has reached the 50 Battle Star milestone and thus the right to claim the title of TITO Knight.

Woonsocket was named TO in charge of the TITO Expeditionary Force (EF). Louisistan was named as a Tactical Officer Trainee who will eventually be in charge of the minor update. Another busy month in the Immigration Department which saw over 20,000 Telegrams sent out. Most notable were the achievements of Coreyo and Escanaba whose combined efforts saw over 500 new nations brought into the region. Coreyo sent out the most telegrams this month, and so for the first time in over a year Escanaba is not our Top Recruiter of the Month. A hearty 'thank you' and congratulations to both! We also thank Lower Columbia, for sending out over 3,500 telegrams and maintaining a 3.6% success rate. And of course our thanks go to all the other recruiters - whether you spend hours or minutes recruiting, your help is appreciated.
